The sad thing is that people who live that way never experience the deep joys that come with actually getting married. What parallels there might be in our relationship with the church. Should we make a commitment of “marriage” with the church, or is it just fine to “date” the church year after year, never actually making a commitment? And, if we do just “date” the church, what “marriage” blessings are we missing out on that God had intended?
